It’s funny how the world of advertising and media is vastly changing especially in the design world. More and more huge corporations are changing their marketing strategies, logos and media outlets into Web 2.0 designs and interfaces. We have came far and the fact that facebook, myspace, flickr and others are now huge money making companies is opening these corporations eyes because they realize that they have the young generations attention. As we speak someone is either writing on their blog like I am, looking through facebook or and myspace or even do all three at the same time. Take a look at these redesigned logos of all sorts of huge corporations incorporating the popular Web 2.0 style. Sometimes I wonder would this make Web 2.0 corny now ? Because as soon as corporations get a hold of the young peoples fun it just ends up ruined. Like anything it usually happens that way. A good example could be when cell phones were the best thing on earth and sooner or later better brands came out but now everyone and their grandmother has one. And then smart phones became popular and now you can see older corporate executives using their blackberry on the train. Well we will see, but I personally think this is a crappy attempt to try to reach the young demographic because to me making your logo shiny with brighter colors doesn’t mean a thing. That new AT&T logo still has me thinking of when I used it as a home phone in the 90’s lol. What do you guys think?
